You must build a fence around a any body of water (swimming pools, spas, hot tubs, artificial ponds) outdoors on privately owned property where the water can be deeper than 0.6 metres (2 feet).
You must get a permit before you can build a pool fence. A pool fence or a pool enclosure must be at least 1.2 metres (4 feet) high.
