Regular participation in physical recreation is effective in achieving physical and emotional health. As a sports leader or instructor, you will provide activities that are challenging and fun to youth and adults. Opportunities exist in a variety of sport programs including: Golf and BMX/skateboarding.

| Major Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize and instruct group or private lessons
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist in the delivery of all competitions and other summer special events/demonstrations
- Maintain a safe and clean facility, including storage cupboard containing sports equipment and tools
- Assist with pre-camp program telephone calls
- Greet parents/guardians on first day of lessons/camps and provide program overview
Qualifications:
- High intermediate or advanced BMX/Skateboard/Aggressive Inline skills
- Current Standard First Aid
- Knowledge of lesson progression
- Reliable transportation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Required to work extended daycare during summer camps in morning and afternoon
- Flexible to work variable hours, including evenings/weekends/Holidays
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to commencing employment
Period of Employment: May–September
Rate of Pay:Minimum wage to $12.00 per hour
| | Major Responsibilities:
- Plan and organize staff training and assist all BMX/Skateboard/Aggressive Inline Instructors on job duties and responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of the Instructor’s Apprentice Program
- Deliver teaching assignments, when required
- Assist with special events and competitions
- Ensure that staff work in a safe and professional environment and conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times to deliver a high level of service
- Prepare and complete performance evaluations and reviews
- Staff scheduling and time sheet review
- Administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- High Intermediate or advanced BMX and/or Skateboard /Aggressive Inline skills

| | Major Responsibilities:
- Assists with flower and shrub bed maintenance
- Ensure that the parking lot and its environs are kept clean
- Assist to maintain course hardware in safe and working condition
- Assist in the routine maintenance of the clubhouse, both interior and exterior
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Off-season golf course inspection to ensure grounds are safely maintained
- Assist in hosting facility rentals during the off-season
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education
- Horticultural training – Community College level
- Previous related experience, an asset
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills
Rate of Pay:$10.00 - $14.80 per hour

- Plan, implement, and conduct safe golf lessons
- Teach the basis of golf etiqutte
- Maintain a safe and clean facility
- Perform administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 education
- Completition of a golf swing mechanics course
- Knowledge of health and safety standards
- Excellent communication skills coupled with excellent customer service skills
Rate of Pay:$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
| | Major Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the specialized programming meets the needs of all participants and is appropriately delivered
- Act as a resource for gymnastics instructors who require assistance with participants
- Handle program feedback in a professional manner by providing exceptional customer service
- Complete Accident and Incident reports as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with the planning, organizing, evaluating and documentation of staff training for instructors
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of pre-program and in service staff training
- Assist gymnastics instructors in the continuing development of their skills, using proper “coaching techniques” to achieve desired results
- Maintain a safe and clean facility environment
- Administration of medications may apply; ensure that all Policies and Procedures pertaining to medications are adhered to
Qualifications:
- NCCP Level 2 Technical – Artistic Gymnastics preferred
- Certified NCCP Level 2 Gymnastics Coach preferred
- Current Emergency First Aid /CPR
- Minimum 2-5 years of coaching experience, preferred
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience, preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with exceptional customer service skills
- Flexible to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to commencing employment
Rate of Pay:$16.00 to $22.00 per hour
| | Major Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans for each class to meet the needs of program participant’s appropriate level
- Complete progress records on gymnasts
- Set-up equipment (circuits) and conduct warm-ups, cool-downs, and conditioning that are age appropriate (coaches must participate in activities to the best of his/her ability)
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Supervise the behaviour and conduct of group at all times (including spotting and correcting at all times during class)
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of gymnastics coaching experience preferred
- Current Emergency First Aid/CPR
- NCCP Level 1 Technical – Artistic Gymnastics
- Certified NCCP Level 1 Gymnastics Coach preferred
- Excellent communication skills coupled with exceptional customer service skills
- Required to work irregular hours including evenings and weekends
- Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to commencing employment
Rate of Pay:Level I - $10.00 per hour
Level II - $10.60 to $15.00 per hour
Level III - $15.00 to $18.00 per hour

- Book tee time reservations and ensure times are adhered to
- Process monetary transactions involving Pro Shop merchandise sales, as well as opening and closing procedures etc
- Ensure golf rules and etiquette are adhered to within the golf grounds
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Assist with tournament operations and special events
- Enforce the dress code
- Responsible for outdoor concessions
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe facility
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Education
- Previous cash handling (Point-of-Sale/Computer skills), an asset
- Knowledge of golf merchandise and Health and Safety Standards
- Customer service training
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with exceptional customer service skills
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to use sound judgment and diplomacy in confrontational situations
Rate of Pay:$10.00 - $14.80 per hour

- Patrol Skate Park and BMX dirt jumps for unsafe equipment and conditions
- Assist to maintain order and discipline in all areas of the skate park
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Regular inspection (start and end of shift) of Skate Park and BMX course to ensure grounds are clean, clear of debris and in safe condition
- Report all unsafe conditions
Qualifications:
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR C
- Excellent Customer Service skills
