expandDance Assistant

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the planning, implementation and delivery of safe dance group classes
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Assist in selecting and providing appropriate music for dance programs
  • Assist with the choreography for dance recitals, if required
  • Assist with the coordination of costumes for final recital and/or competitions if required
  • Maintain a safe and clean facility

Qualifications:

  • Current technical and practical training at an advanced level in one or more of the dance disciplines (acrobatics, ballet, belly dancing, jazz, tap, hip hop, Jr. creative movement classes)
  • Current Emergency First Aid/CPR “B”
  • Experience teaching dance classes
  • Experience teaching children preferred
  • Leadership and program planning skills
  • Enjoy working with children
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Successful candidates will be required to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check, at their own expense, prior to commencing employment

Rate of Pay:

Minimum wage to $20.00 per hour
