| Major Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-year experience in handling and restraining dogs, cats, and other animals
- Experience as a enforcement officer
- Experience with wildlife species
- Certificate from Municipal Law Enforcement Officers’ Association; Diploma in Police Foundations/Law and Security, or other enforcement equivalent an asset
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Chameleon software application an asset
- Valid Ontario non-probationary Class “G” Driver’s Licence
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Able to work independently and without direct supervision
- Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays (variable shifts)
Rate of Pay:Starting at $14.00 per hour
| | Major Responsibilities:
- Animal husbandry – cleaning kennels, nursing care, medicating animals
- General facility duties – laundry, dishes, supply stocking, floors, etc.
- Customer service – educating the public, adoption counseling
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year experience in an animal-related field (shelter, pet store, groomer, vet clinic)
- Certificate in Animal Care or equivalent an asset
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Chameleon software application an asset
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work with dogs, cats, reptiles, birds, and other domestic animals
- Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays (variable shifts)
Rate of Pay:Starting at minimum wage
| | Major Responsibilities:
- Maintain a healthy animal population
- Assess animal temperament to determine adoptability
- Assign tasks and schedules for kennel staff – supervise shelter in absence of supervisor
- Order supplies as necessary
- Public education
- Participate in children’s education program
- Euthanasia
Qualifications:
- Registered Veterinary Technician
- Minimum 3-year experience in a vet clinic, shelter, or animal-related field
- Valid Ontario non-probationary Class “G” Driver’s Licence
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Able to manage animal health without supervision
- Able to multitask and have strong decision making skills
- Computer proficiency
- Knowledge of Chameleon software application an asset
- Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays (variable shifts)
Rate of Pay:Starting at $16.00 per hour
