John has been actively involved in his community since he was 18-years-old, offering his enthusiasm to youth groups, ratepayers organizations, the local Parent Teacher Association and through coaching soccer.  He is also involved with the Knights of Columbus, a volunteer organization that supports charities in our community and is run from St. Patrick’s Church in Brampton.

In addition, he offers his insight and experience on the Community Environment & Noise Advisory Committee (CENAC) for the Greater Toronto Airport Authority (GTAA), and on other important community matters, such as environmental sustainability, by sitting on a variety of Council Sub-Committees and Community Ad-Hoc Committees.  He is a committee member of the Brampton Public Library and a Board Member of the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA).

As a member of Peel Regional Council, John participates on the Waste Management Subcommittee (WMSC).  John is also on the Board of Directors for the Peel Housing Corporation (PHC). John was a candidate for the Conservative Party of Canada in the January 2006 Federal Election.
