Regional Councillor Elaine Moore
Welcome to my City of Brampton webpage.

As Chair of the Region of Peel Public Works Committee, and Chair of the City of Brampton Economic Development and Communications Committee, I have helped drive the delivery of vital services in our community, including waste management, small business services, municipal by-law enforcement, downtown renewal, community charitable and goodwill services, and other related social services.
I believe very strongly in the power of working collaboratively with groups, such as the Integrated Municipal Enforcement Team (IMET); a concept which evolved from my regular meetings with Peel Regional Police and which has now been replicated in other areas of Peel. There is immeasurable value in putting interested parties around the same table at the same time to solve problems and find solutions to complex problems. Another example of a successful collaboration among community members is the Homeless Forum I took the lead on. Bringing together various stakeholders, such as business leaders, service providers, municipal representatives and members of the faith community, this forum invited homeless individuals to express their thoughts, concerns and feelings about the issues they face as a homeless person living in Peel. The result was the creation of a strategy that is still being used by the Region of Peel today.
The enhancement of our quality of life in Brampton is a priority for me. This is why I continue to be proudly involved with activities at William Osler Health Centre as a member of the Community Advisory Council, the Brampton Board of Trade, Brampton Downtown Development Corporation, Bovaird House, the Region of Peel Human Services, and our many faith communities, and social service organizations.
