Note: The Downtown and Queen Street Corridor Advisory Committee was not re-established by Council on December 7, 2010.  In accordance with Resolution C226-2010, Council referred the matter to staff for a review of the committee and a report to the Committee of Council. 

 

Please refer to the Heritage, Arts, Culture and Entertainment (HACE) Downtown Brampton Creative Economy Round Table, a citizen-based advisory committee formed in 2011 (see Index at left).

 


 

Mandate

  • To create a prosperous and diverse local economy by encouraging and promoting a balance of retail, office and medium to high-rise residential in Brampton’s Downtown and Central Corridor.

 The Downtown and Queen Street Corridor Steering Committee reported to Committee of Council.

  • Brampton Board of Trade
  • Mayor’s Round Table
  • Brampton Arts Council
  • Member at Large (with a business address in Brampton within the boundaries of the central area corridor, chosen by the sub-committee at the first meeting; this position was appointed and renewed annually by City Council)


Meetings

Downtown and Queen Street Corridor Steering Committee met monthly, usually the third Tuesday of each month, starting at 8:30 a.m.
