What is the Central Area Community Improvement Plan (CIP)? |
The CIP is an incentive plan for redeveloping the Central Area. The CIP is not a development application.
The CIP that sets out a package of potential financial incentives to stimulate development and redevelopment in Brampton’s Central Area. The CIP proposes to enable a “toolbox” of incentive programs that can be enacted at the discretion of Council through the approval of specific implementation guidelines, requirements, criteria and budget for each particular program. The CIP contains goals and objectives, sets out the general area subject to the plan and the general requirements and criteria. The Central Area CIP (2007) replaces the Plan the City Council approved in 2000, and includes specific incentive programs.
The Central Area CIP can be found online and within the Central Area section of this website.
| How is the CIP going to affect me as residential property owner? |
