· Brampton has 250 businesses in the ICT sector, which together employ almost 6,800 information technology professionals;
· ICT professionals are found in all of Brampton’s industry sectors;
· Every year, Ontario’s 20 universities and 24 colleges produce more than 29,000 graduates in mathematics, engineering and sciences, providing employers with a steady stream of highly skilled and educated workers.

The ICT industry in the Greater Toronto Area generates between $30 and $35 billion in annual sales, with exports in the neighbourhood of $6 billion. In addition to this thriving economic climate, Brampton’s ICT sector is also supported by a number of federal, provincial and local programs, such as:
