Rogers and Discover Communications to Launch Getconnected™ Business First Centre in Brampton

Brampton’s Discover Communications in association with Rogers Communications recently announced that the City will soon be home to Canada’s original Getconnected™ Business First Centre.

Due to launch July 15th, the Getconnected™ Business First Centre is the first of its kind in Canada to provide a comprehensive suite of mobile and network application solutions.

As stated by Frank Vettese, General Manager, during his announcement of the Centre, “in today’s declining economy, the need for innovative business solutions is essential for small to medium businesses”.

The Centre is a unique forum where companies can learn how to get more out of the Rogers Wireless cellular network and devices through consultation with Wireless Data Specialists and Application Service Providers.

The Business First Centre will invite groups of small to medium businesses with less than 150 employees within the GTA to attend free product seminars. The Seminars will be provided by a coalition of Business First Partners, including Rogers Wireless, Research in Motion (RIM), Samsung and Nokia. These seminars, typically reserved for organizations with 500+ employees, will provide product awareness and training to keep you abreast of new technologies. Both new and existing customers will benefit by ongoing hardware-training courses to improve the end users’ efficiency with mobile devices.

The Centre will showcase live applications from preferred Application Service Providers, offering multiple application solutions in any industry. Small to medium companies will eliminate hours of research and capital outlay for multiple pilot projects and gain the benefits from effective ways to reduce operating costs, increase revenue and improve communications.

Getconnected™, founded in 1989 in response to the increasing mobile wireless market in Canada, quickly became one of Canada’s largest dealers of Roger’s™ Wireless products and services. This long-standing relationship with Rogers Wireless has enhanced development of the Centre through a full services Rogers Wireless store.

The Getconnected™ Business First Centre is located at 30 Victoria Crescent in Brampton just off the 407.
