Q9 Networks Inc. has signed a reseller agreement with IBM, where IBM will sell under its own brand, all of Q9's data centre services.

This agreement expands the data centre and resiliency options that IBM can offer Canadian clients through access to Q9's data centre facilities.

Q9 is investing approximately $65 million to expand its data centre footprint in Calgary, Brampton and Toronto, with $20 million of that being spent locally. When complete, Q9 will be one of the largest independent operators of data centre facilities in Canada.

"We are delighted to be working with IBM, a global leader in IT services," said Osama Arafat, CEO, Q9 Networks. "Leveraging IBM's extensive sales force will open up new growth opportunities for us and we look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship."
