Brampton based Atlantis Systems Corp. a training integrator specializing in military, commercial aviation and energy markets worldwide, signed contracts in recent months to supply training equipment for both Canadian Forces and the Royal Danish Air Force (RDAF).
In July, at Britain's prestigious Farnborough International Airshow, Atlantis signed a contract to develop and deliver a Cockpit Procedures Trainer (CPT) for the RDAF over the next two years. The Atlantis CPT provides orientation and procedural training for helicopter aircrews and will be delivered to the RDAF through AgustaWestland.
In August Atlantis announced they have signed a contract to deliver weapons load trainers for the CF-18 aircraft in the Canadian Forces over the next twelve months. The contract includes support and upgrade services for the weapons load trainers through 2020.
Atlantis will develop an advanced CPT for the Royal Danish Air Force's EH101 multi-purpose helicopter, based on Atlantis' proven EH101 product previously delivered to the Canadian Forces and AgustaWestland. The Danish version of the CPT will expand the flight training capability of the Atlantis-developed system to include many new features including mission rehearsals and an enhanced projected visual system.
The weapons load trainers will provide the Canadian Forces with a safe, simulation-supported capability for training technicians who handle live munitions for the CF-18 aircraft. Atlantis will integrate the weapons load trainer functionality with Atlantis' existing Integrated Maintenance Training Systems ("IMTS") currently in use by Canadian Forces maintenance technicians. Atlantis is the prime and sole contractor and will deliver the trainers to CFB Bagotville, in La Baie, Quebec, and to CFB Cold Lake in Alberta.
