City And BDBA Improve Streetscape On Main Street North

To beautify downtown Brampton, the City of Brampton has partnered with the Brampton Downtown Business Association to improve the streetscape on Main St. N. from Church Street to Vodden Street.
“The project will begin March 13 and will be completed in the fall,” said City Councillor Grant Gibson. “At the projects completion, you will see an improved streetscape with fewer overhead wires and elegant streetlamps that co-ordinate with the downtown core.”
“This will involve some short-term pain for significant long-term gain,” said Michael Chaddock, Executive Director of the BDBA. “The BDBA has agreed to fund this project to the tune of $250,000 because we believe it is the right step toward a revitalized downtown.”
The City, the BDBA and Hydro One Brampton are working closely with the community to provide information about the streetscape project.
