Brampton Business Ambassador Breakfast Series Launched

BreakfastThe City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office held its introductory seminar for the Business Ambassador Breakfast Series in partnership with the BBOT on May 28th, at the Courtyard Marriott in Brampton. The seminar featured keynote speaker, the Honorable Peter Van Loan, Minister of International Trade, pictured at left with Regional Councillor Elaine Moore, Charles Waud, President of the Brampton Board of Trade, Don Eastwood, Director of Economic Development, Maria Britto, Chair of the Economic Development Business Ambassador Program..

The Minister applauded the Business Ambassador Program and its efforts to “put Brampton on the map, expanding the community globally. Brampton is an excellent community for job building, with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a growing hub of business”.

Over the next 16 months, the City will host a series of breakfast seminars focused around international trade and exposing Brampton business owners to the opportunities of growing markets, partnership opportunities and expanding their business globally.

Each seminars will highlight two international countries, with speakers from each area, followed by roundtable sessions providing attendees the opportunity for one-on-one discussions.

• Seminar #2 – How to do business in United States & Mexico – November 17, 2010
• Seminar #3 – How to do business in China & Korea – January 19, 2011
• Seminar #4 – How to do business in Italy & Germany – March 16, 2011
• Seminar #5 – How to do business in Brazil & Russia – September 14, 2011
