Thursday, Mar 18 2010, 03:00

A1 Taxi, the largest fleet in Brampton, has contracted with DDS Wireless International’s taxi business unit, Digital Dispatch. The contract includes the implementation and licensing of Digital Dispatch’s leading Pathfinder™ taxi dispatch solution along with the DDS’s iMax 8000™ mobile data terminals.

A1 Taxi has served the Brampton region in the Greater Toronto Area (“GTA”) for over three decades. By implementing Pathfinder for fleet dispatching with the newly released iMax 8000 data terminals, A1 can offer superior customer service and efficiency that enables an enhanced in-cab experience for both drivers and passengers.

A1 joins an extensive group of taxi companies in Ontario that are already using DDS systems. These include Kwik Kab in Brampton, Royal Taxi in Toronto, United Cabs in Kitchener, Waterloo Taxi, Golden Triangle Cabs, Veterans Cabs in Windsor, U-Need-a-Car in London, City Taxi Toronto, All Star in Mississauga, and City Cabs in Kitchener and Mississauga.

“Pathfinder™ provides the ability to track and locate our cars, automate the dispatching process and provide secure and efficient processing of credit and debit card transactions. These are very important capabilities to enable us to drive efficiency and the highest levels of customer service, in addition to providing a platform to grow and expand our fleet”, stated Makhan Dhother, General Manager of A1 Taxi.
