Outstanding Brampton Businesses Recognised

The City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office and the Brampton Board of Trade recentley honoured local businesses at the 13th annual Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards.

In a ceremony at the Rose Theatre Brampton, awards were presented to eight Brampton businesses from a list of 17 finalists. Those on the list were selected for demonstrating excellence in entrepreneurship and business leadership, product innovation and technological achievement, increased employment, productivity and quality improvements, promotion, customer service and reliability.

“It is important that we recognise our business leaders in Brampton, particularly during these challenging economic times,” said Mayor Susan Fennell. “We are very proud of their continued ability to strive for innovation, achieve product excellence and provide superior customer service.”

Award recipients included:

  • Advanced Manufacturing – Almag Aluminum Inc.
  • Food & Beverage – Frito-Lay Canada
  • Information & Communication Technology – Rogers Communications
  • Retail, Administration & Logistics – Stevens Company
  • Business Service – Trow Global Inc.
  • Emerging Business – Total Body Fitness
  • Award of Distinction for Community Contribution – The Bramalea City Centre
  • Award of Distinction for Environmental Leadership – Frito-Lay Canada

    A committee of five independent judges representing different business sectors selected the winners.
