Brampton based Atlantis Systems International will partner with CAE of Montreal in a contract valued at approximately C$329.5 million for a comprehensive C-130J aircrew training equipment and services solution. CAE will lead a pan-Canadian team that includes Atlantis, xwave of St. Johns, Newfoundland; Bombardier of Saint-Laurent, Quebec; and Cascade Aerospace of Abbotsford, British Columbia in the fulfillment of the agreement.

Under the program called the Operational Training Systems Provider (OTSP), CAE won a competitive procurement to serve as the prime contractor to provide the training systems and services for Canada’s tactical airlift, medium-to-heavy helicopter, and potentially other aircraft fleets.

The contract is in support of Canada’s new fleet of 17 C-130J Hercules tactical airlift aircraft. It is the first under the OSTP the C-130J program will create and sustain approximately 330 jobs for the first three years and 50 jobs for the next 20 years at the participating companies throughout Canada.

This is the second major announcement for Atlantis this year. Earlier the Brampton headquartered located on Kenview Boulevard company announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Atlantis Systems America, Inc. (ASA), has been qualified by the US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation as a contractor under STOC II, a 10-year Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (ID/IQ) contracting vehicle. This gives ASA the opportunity to pursue, bid, win, and execute contracts with the US Army in support of their training products and services requirements that are released against STOC II.
