City of Brampton Picks up First Place Award at EDCO

The City of Brampton’s Economic Development Office won first place for its magazine BramFact-Blueprint for Success at the 51st Annual Economic Developers Council on Ontario (EDCO) Conference held this week. The award is in the category of Business Development.

Bramfacts, which has now evolved into a monthly electronic format, is sent out the business community as an update on key statistics shaping the Brampton economy and marketplace as well as what’s happening in Brampton’s business sector.

The magazine was judged by marketing professionals on a number of criteria such as effectiveness in metting objectives, clarity and effectiveness of message, content, quality, completeness and organization of information, creativity and/or innovation in design, content and delivery and design and production quality.

“Brampton is one of the fastest growing economies in Canada and presents tremendous opportunities for business and corporations. It is critical for us to present accurate and timely information on the market, statistics and economic drivers, to attract and retain business investment. This publication is a key tool in order to achieve our goals. This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff” said Councillor Elaine Moore, Chair of the Business Development and Marketing Advisory Committee.
