SUBY Awards

This year an exciting new program was launched through the Small Business Enterprise Centre – the Start Up Business of the Year Award. This program, is striving to bring more recognition to the importance of the small business community in our local economy. One of the sponsors of this new program was the Brampton Business Suites.

The call for entries for this inaugural year took place from July through September. Participants had to complete a six-page summary outlining their start-up strategy – a mini business plan if you will.

Finalists were invited to a 30-minute interview by a panel of judges, and the winner was determined. The winner of the first annual SUBY Awards was Roy Ramsay from Outdoor Photography Canada Magazine

The winner received a $1,500 gift certificate from our key sponsor - Shoppers World Brampton. And a one-month lease on a mall kiosk to promote, sell subscriptions or copies, at a value $3000
