New Honda Facility opens in Brampton

Friday, Oct 12 2007, 02:00

Honda Canada execs, launched the official opening of a new Honda Powerhouse at Brampton Auto Mall on Friday, September 14, 2007. This sparkling facility, owned and operated by the community-involved Alizadeh family, is an anchor of the Brampton Auto Mall.

One of only three in Canada, Honda Powerhouse showcases all Honda products outside of their passenger vehicle fleet – including a full line of Honda motorcycles, ATVs, marine products and power equipment.

Powerhouse General Manager Marc Frantz brings with him 7 years experience in the motorcycle dealership industry, is a rider himself and has even designed and built 2 motorcycles, including one clad in copper rather than chrome which was put into production by Harley Davidson.

Frantz was raised in Brampton and is delighted to return here. "In the last 2 years, big bike stores have closed and left a huge void – I want the riding public to know they still have a place to call their own". Franz is dedicated to all riders - "Even though we're a Honda Powerhouse, I have technicians that are certified in all brands of motorcycles because we're here for all riders – you're not lost; you have a dealership to help you".

And Franz and Honda Powerhouse have motorcycles, clothing and gear for everyone. "I've ordered a lot of clothing and gear for girls and women, including complete leathers in pink! We need always to include our female riders".

Honda Canada President and CEO Hiroshi Kobayashi spoke of his delight in opening this facility "I came to Canada in 2004 and wanted to raise the brand image of our motorcycles. Thank you from the bottom of my heart". He presented a commemorative plaque to owner Glen Alizadeh to mark the occasion.

The evening also marked another notable happening for Classic Honda. The keys to a 2008 Honda Civic DX were presented to Wellspring Chinguacousy, a new cancer support centre serving Brampton, Caledon and area, scheduled to open in December 2007. The vehicle will be given away through a lottery to raise funds for the Centre.
