The City of Brampton Economic Development Office is accepting entries for the 2015 Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards (BOBAA). The annual awards program, now in its 19th year, will publicly recognize and honour local businesses that have demonstrated a passion for excellence.

Categories in the awards program include:

Transportation & Logistics
Recognizes companies that support the consumer goods market by handling, shipping and distributing merchandise.
Recognizes companies involved in the assembly of the component parts of manufactured goods, the blending of materials, and the finishing of manufactured products by dyeing, heat-treating, plating and similar operations.
Hospitality & Tourism
Recognizes companies that promote Brampton as a leading destination for both business and leisure by demonstrating excellence in a customer-service focused industry, for example, hotels and entertainment destinations.
Food & Beverage
Recognizes companies involved in core food industry activities including food processing, warehouse distribution and retailing; and in related industries such as packaging, production of food industry equipment, agriculture, refrigerated store/distribution and food science.
Retail Administration
Recognizes companies that support the consumer goods market by buying, selling, handling, shipping or distributing merchandise, in both wholesale and retail trade industries, before it hits the retailer.

Innovation & Technology
Recognizes a company that has successfully developed and implemented an innovative product, process, service or idea using any/all forms of technology.

Professional Services
Recognizes companies that demonstrate how product and/or service initiatives that have improved customer service in services including financial, real estate, consulting, legal, medical and personnel sectors.

Consumer Retail
Recognizes consumer based retail establishments and restaurants that are the final steps of the distribution process.

Young Entrepreneur
Recognizes a business person under 35 years of age that has been in business for a minimum of one year and has demonstrated advancement and or excellence in any field.
