The Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards started in 1997.

expandHow do I enter my business in the Awards?
The first step is to nominate your business or another business. This can be done online. You will complete your entry. You can enter online or supply a written submission by mail or fax for judging or download the Entry Form.*
expandHow do I nominate another business?
If you nominate another business, complete the Entry/Nomination Form online. Your nominee will then receive a letter and entry kit announcing that they have been nominated for the awards. They then have the option to supply a written submission or enter online.
expandHow will I know if you have received my entry?
A letter will be sent to all entrants confirming entries have been received. If you do not receive this letter, please let us know.
expandWhat if something changes in my contact details after I submit my entry?
Contact the Economic Development Office at 905-874-2650, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., from Monday to Friday, to change any contact details.
expandWhat happens to my entry at the conclusion of the Awards?
At the conclusion of the Awards, all copies of submissions will be kept on file at the Economic Development Office. For this reason, please ensure that you keep a copy of your submission for your own records and no not send in the original of any supporting documents, such as press clippings, certificates or videotapes.
expandHow secure is my entry in terms of confidentiality?
Throughout the judging process the information contained in your submission will only be accessible to the Brampton Outstanding Business Achievement Awards judges, each of whom is required to comply with a confidentiality agreement.
expandWho judges my entry?
The judges are an independent panel of local business experts drawn from relevant business disciplines.
expandWhat is the next step if I'm short-listed for a site visit?
The judges will arrange to visit your business to further evaluate your nomination.
expandWhat is involved in the site visit?
Site visits should take no longer than 1 hour and will involve further exploration of your answers to the entry questions and a tour of your facility.
expandHow will I know if I'm not selected as a finalist?
A letter will be sent to all entrants, both finalist and non-finalists.

expandCan I enter the Awards next year?
If you were a previous category winner, you cannot re-enter that particular category for ten years. You can, however enter a different category if that is relevant. All other previous entrants and finalists are encouraged to enter.
