Issuing Licences
City of Brampton licences are issued either by an Administrative Clerk or an Enforcement Clerk, depending on the type of licence requested.
Lottery and stationary business licences are issued by an Administrative Clerk in the Licensing Administration Office in the City Clerk’s Office on the first floor of Brampton City Hall.
Mobile licences are issued by an Enforcement Clerk at the Enforcement and By-Law Services Division.

Enforcement
Licensing Enforcement regulates the provisions of Licensing By-law 1-2002 for lottery, mobile and stationary business licensing in Brampton and regulates all licences issued.
Licensing Inspectors patrol the City for violations, as well as respond to citizen queries and issues. Where possible, Inspectors also perform inspections of licensed businesses to ensure compliance with the requirements of the associated bylaw.

Queries and concerns can be submitted in person, by telephone, by regular mail or by e-mail, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Every effort will be made to respond on the next business day to e-mails received after regular business hours.
Lottery and stationary business licence queries can be submitted at City Hall and mobile licence queries can be submitted at the Enforcement and By-Law Services Division.
All licencing enforcement concerns can be submitted at the Enforcement and By-Law Services Division.
