The federal government offers individual Canadians a non-refundable tax credit to help cover the cost of public transit.

Weekly and monthly Brampton Transit passes and GTA weekly passes are eligible for a 15% transit tax credit. 

PRESTO Details:
- Brampton Transit weekly and monthly passes loaded onto a PRESTO card are eligible for the 15% transit tax credit.
- Registered PRESTO cards are eligible for the federal tax credit provided they are used at least 32 one-way trips within a single transit system during an uninterrupted period not exceeding 31 days. A usage statement for tax purposes is available from the PRESTO website.
