The Brampton Lifesaving Club will introduce athletes to the skills of lifesaving sport, while encouraging healthy living and regular physical fitness. Throughout the year, trained Lifesaving Coaches will concentrate on developing each swimmer’s strength, power and endurance. Athletes will focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, achieving personal bests and most of all, having fun! During competition season, members will train for a number of pool events and participate at the Junior Championships and TeleGames.
Brampton Lifesaving Club is open to youth, aged 7 – 16.
Prerequisites: Athletes must be able to comfortably swim 100 metres or more of front crawl, back crawl, breaststroke, and 50 metres of either scissor kick or eggbeater without stopping.
