
Swimming is an activity that might best be described as "one exercise fits all." It can be practiced by almost anyone, no matter what your age, whether you’re in top shape or recovering from an injury. That’s because water workouts don’t strain the muscles the way many land-based activities do.

Makeup Lessons | Occasionally lessons may be cancelled due to mechanical or chemical problems. We will do our best to schedule additional classes when or if possible. Makeup classes or compensation will not be available due to participant illness or personal committments. | Swimming Lesson Cancellation Dates |
Swimming programs may have cancellation dates due to holidays or required exceptions for facility maintenance. These dates will be noted on your program receipt and will be communicated at the facility. Course lengths and fees have already been adjusted to reflect the cancelled dates.
| Personal Belongings | Do not leave valuables and belongings unattended in change rooms. Use lockers or checkroom where available or take belongings to your program area.We are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
| Parent’s Day | Do you have questions about your child’s swimming progress? Would you like to speak to your child’s instructor?Here’s your chance! Parent’s Day will take place half-way through your child’s swimming program. You can take photos during this time. Information about Parent’s Day will be posted at your facility closer to the date.
| Yearly Passes | Yearly passes are valid for admission to all scheduled recreational swims and public skating periods. Passes are valid for one year from date of purchase.
| Change Room Admittance Guideline | For the comfort of all patrons, children 7 years of age and older must use the appropriate change room. Family change rooms are available for use by pool customers at most facilities.

- Children under seven (7) years of age, regardless of swimming ability, must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian who is in the water wearing bathing attire, within armʼs reach, able to render immediate assistance, and at least fourteen (14) years of age. A maximum of two (2) children per parent/guardian.
- Children between the ages of seven (7) and nine (9) years, who are unable to pass the Facility Swim Test, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is in the water wearing bathing attire, within armʼs reach, able to render immediate assistance, and at least fourteen (14) years of age. A maximum of two (2) children per parent/guardian.
- Children between the ages of seven (7) and nine (9) years, who are able to pass the Facility Swim Test, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at least fourteen (14) years of age that maintains visual contact and remains in the pool enclosure at all times.
- The ratio for children under ten (10) years of age can be increased to a maximum of eight (8) children per parent/guardian if all children are wearing a PFD and the parent/guardian is in the water wearing bathing attire, within armʼs reach, able to render immediate assistance, and at least fourteen (14) years of age.
- Red Wristband: Children between seven (7) and nine (9) years of age that are not accompanied by a parent/guardian in the water, are required to perform a Facility Swim Test. If the child does not pass the Facility Swim Test admission is denied.
- Yellow Wristband: Children under ten (10) years of age that are not able to pass or do not wish to participate in the Facility Swim Test, must be accompanied by a parent/guardian wearing bathing attire, in the water, and within armʼs reach. Participants are only allowed in the shallow end.
- Green Wristband: Participant who is able to pass the Facility Swim Test may swim in the deep end. Wristband only administered by Aquatic Staff.
- Blue Wristband: Children ten (10) to thirteen (13) years of age.
| Medical Conditions |
Participants with severe medical conditions should be accompanied by an adult or guardian 14 years of age or older, familiar with their condition.
| Cellphones, Filming and Photography | Please note that to ensure the privacy of others, cell phone devices, filming or photography will not be permitted during swimming programs or recreational swims. Specific times during lessons may be available - please speak with the aquatic staff at your pool. | Bathing Suit Attire | Bathing/swimming apparel is defined as clothing that is clean and used specifically for the purpose of swimming. Children who are not toilet trained must wear a pool pant or cotton cloth diaper with a plastic pant under their bathing suit. |
