Wading Pools - FREE (weather permitting)

Admission Standard for Wading Pools

  • ​Swim participants ten (10) years of age or younger regardless of swimming ability must be directly supervised by a parent/guardian at least fourteen (14) years of age within the wading pool enclosure.
  • One (1) parent/guardian at least fourteen (14) years of age may assume responsibility for up to eight (8) swimmers, requiring direct supervision. Lifejackets are encouraged.
  • Children must be in proper bathing attire to prevent fouling in the pool.
  • Lifeguard on duty to maintain the safety and well-being of all participants.
  • Entry is prohibited unless a staff person is on duty.

Participants with serious medical conditions should be accompanied by individuals knowledgeable of their condition and responsible for their direct supervision.

Eldorado Park Outdoor Pool

Surrounded by a natural forest on the banks of the Credit River, Eldorado Park features the City of Brampton’s only outdoor pool. Tucked in the back corner of Eldorado Park, the Eldorado Pool is the perfect place to spend a summer day. Bring your lunch and enjoy the natural scenic surroundings at one of our covered picnic areas.

Professor’s Lake Recreation Centre

​Professor’s Lake is a 65-acre spring fed lake in the heart of Brampton, near Bramalea Road and North Park Drive. The recreation centre includes a beach with swimming area, water slide, beach volleyball courts, a patio, change rooms, snack bar, and both a hall and meeting room available for rent. Pedal boats, canoes, kayaks and stand up paddle boards can be rented. A variety of summer day camps are offered for kids, including Canoe & Kayak camps, Adventure Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp, and Water Sports Camps.  Kayak and stand up paddleboard classes (and fitness classes!) are also available.

  •  Regardless of swimming ability, MUST be directly supervised by a parent guardian at least 14 years of age, who is in the water wearing bathing attire, within arm’s reach, and able to render immediate assistance.
  • One parent/guardian who is at least 14 years of age may assume responsibility for up to two swimmers, requiring direct supervision.

 
Swim participants between the ages of 6 and 9 years:

  • Those who are able to pass the Facility Swim Test, MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian at least 14 years of age that maintains visual contact and remains within the pool enclosure at all times.
  • Those who are unable to pass the Facility Swim Test, MUST be directly supervised by a parent/guardian at least 14 years of age, who is in the water wearing bathing attire, within arm’s reach, and able to render immediate assistance.
  • One parent/guardian who is at least 14 years of age may assume responsibility for up to two swimmers, requiring direct supervision.
  • One parent/guardian who is at least 14 years of age may assume responsibility for up to eight swimmers, requiring direct supervision if all children are wearing a PFD.  
     
    Participants with serious medical conditions should be accompanied by individuals knowledgeable of their condition and responsible for their direct supervision.
