The Parks Maintenance and Operations Section is devoted to maintaining safe, quality parkland for the enjoyment of the public. This extends to the maintenance of approximately 3,600 hectares of land which include sports fields, streetscapes, park pathways, open spaces, valley lands, lakes and storm water management ponds. During the winter, Parks Maintenance provides snow control on our park pathway system, Fire Station lots and recreation centre parking lots.
