Penalty Notice Payment Information

If you have received a Penalty Notice (parking ticket), you can either pay the penalty or dispute the Penalty Notice.  Please see below or refer to the payment options noted on the Penalty Notice for details:

Option 1: Voluntary Payment

 

          Visa, Master Card or American Express 

    • Online payments will be subject to a $1.50 processing fee (plus applicable taxes) per Parking Ticket.

B. Payment by Telephone - (905) 874-2404 
 
           24 hours a day, 7 days a week 
    • Visa, Master Card or American Express 
      Telephone payments will be subject to a $2.50 processing fee (plus applicable taxes) per ticket or fine.
C. Payment in Person
    • Brampton City Hall
      Cashiers, 1st Floor
      2 Wellington Street West
      Southwest corner of Queen and Main Streets
      Monday to Friday, excluding holidays
      8:30 am to 4:30 pm
D. Payment by Mail
    • Cheque or money order
      The City of Brampton
      P.O. Box 93
      Brampton, Ontario  L6V 2K7

      Please DO NOT send cash in the mail and allow sufficient mailing time.
    • Make all cheques and money orders payable to “City of Brampton” and write the number of the Penalty Notice on the front. Post-dated cheques will NOT be accepted. Dishonoured cheques and credit cards will be subject to an administrative fee and, if the period of deficiency causes the ticket due date to lapse and the fine to go into default, an additional fee will be charged and information may be forwarded to a credit bureau.
 

Option 2:  Request a Screening Review 

 
If you wish to dispute your penalty notice, there are two ways to request a Screening Review. 
You or your agent may:
 
a. Call 311.  If calling from outside Brampton, call 905-874-2404. 
 
b.  Attend IN PERSON, Monday to Friday (excluding holidays) between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm at:
    • Ontario Court of Justice
      Provincial Offences Office
      5 Ray Lawson Blvd
      Southwest corner of Hurontario Street (Hwy 10) and Ray Lawson Blvd

You must bring the following information with you:

  • Penalty Notice
  • Registered Vehicle Owner information
  • Contact information
Your screening review will be scheduled by City staff during your visit.

NOTICE TO ONTARIO MOTORISTS

Failure to pay the penalty imposed upon affirmation will result in your Ontario Vehicle Permit not being renewed and no new permit being issued to you until the penalty and all administrative fees have been paid.
