Environmental Master Plan

Air is all around us. It is our life blood.  It connects us to every living thing upon this earth.

Poor air quality has no boundaries and local issues such as smog cause many chronic and acute responses in humans, animals and plant communities and is caused mainly by human activity.  Global warming is an international air quality concern that has the potential for severe long term impacts to the environment at all scales - global, national, regional and local.

Our daily actions impact the quality of the air we breathe. Some of our actions are beneficial-  like planting trees that filter out air borne pollutants.  While other actions have negative impacts, such as driving our cars to the corner store and sending hundreds of chemicals and particles into the air.
