During Emergency Preparedness Week, CERV assisted in the school education events held by the Brampton Emergency Measures Office where we presented newly developed emergency preparedness modules to grade 2 and grade 7 students, at several Recreation Centre and Library public education events and at a City Hall event with the Mayor and City staff.

During the Peel Aboriginal Event at Chinguacousy Park, CERV operated safety patrols throughout the event.

| Canada Day |
CERV participated together with Amateur Radio Emergency Services at the Chinguacousy Park event, assisting with lost children and operating safety patrols.
|
| October 13 |
Brampton CERV and Security Professionals were invited by Brampton Corporate Security to attend information sessions provided by the Peel Police gang unit, criminal investigations unit and explosives disposal unit. The evening was a success, with 39 CERV registered out of the 100 total registrants. Additional sessions are being planned for the coming months.

Latest CERV certification class has 14 new CERV enrolled, and certified Brampton CERV have also been invited to attend sessions on an ad-hoc basis.

| October 20 |
A small workshop was held with several of our CERV who are also Business Continuity Professionals, together with Brampton Emergency Measures Office Staff, to discuss pandemic preparedness and business continuity processes. A future session will be held in December with possible follow-ups throughout the upcoming year. |
