The City of Brampton is proud to offer a recognition program for outstanding citizens in our community who have made achievements within the past year.
On December 21, 2012, Brampton City Council endorsed the facilitation of the 2012 Citizens Awards program with the current nomination criteria and previous Selection Committee composition. The new nomination criteria and Selection Committee composition will be introduced in the 2013 Citizens Awards Program.
The Sports Achievement ceremony has been revamped to promote an athletic atmosphere and recognition program. The Long Term Service ceremony will be programmed with an increase in prestige and entertainment. The 2011 recipients will be presented at the 2012 Citizens Awards program.
Nomination forms are now being accepted for 2012 achievements. The deadline for 2012 nominations will be January 31st. To submit an electronic nomination, select the award category relevant to your nomination under Award Categories and complete the nomination form.
