Becoming a Candidate

Welcome to Candidates Information Portal. This site will be continuously updated with new information to help potential Candidates running for the 2014 Municipal Election in Brampton. Please find detailed information related to Municipal Elections legislation by visiting:

Now you can file your nomination at City Clerk's Office during normal business hours, to run for:

Mayor:       

one to be elected by all electors of the municipality
 

Regional Councillors:         

one to be elected  Wards 1 and 5
one to be elected  Wards 2 and 6
one to be elected  Wards 3 and 4
one to be elected  Wards 7 and 8
one to be elected  Wards 9 and 10 
 

City Councillors:

one to be elected  Wards 1 and 5
one to be elected  Wards 2 and 6
one to be elected  Wards 3 and 4
one to be elected  Wards 7 and 8
one to be elected  Wards 9 and 10         

School Board Trustees:

Peel District School Board
one to be elected Wards 1 and 5
one to be elected Wards 2 and 6
one to be elected Wards 3 and 4
one to be elected Wards 7 and 8
one to be elected Wards 9 and 10
 
Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board
one to be elected Wards 1, 3 and 4
one to be elected Wards 2, 5 and 6

Conseil scolaire Viamonde (formerly Conseil scolaire de district du Centre Sud-Ouest)**
one to be elected for the Region of Peel
 
Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud***
one to be elected for the Region of Dufferin-Peel-Wellington (includes Brampton, Caledon, and Dufferin and Wellington Counties)
