The City of Brampton has been recognized internationally as a city of outstanding community spirit.
In 2007, Brampton was designated as an International Safe Community by the World Health Organization, the first city in the GTA and one of only 10 in North America to receive this prestigious designation. The award came as a result of a dynamic collaboration among more than 35 community partners working together on innovative programs and awareness initiatives to promote a safe community for all.
Brampton has always maintained a strong sense of community. Our citizens play a very important role in helping build a solid foundation through their involvement in programs and services, which not only beautify our surroundings, but also add to our quality of life.
