Messages or letters of greeting are provided to individuals, groups, businesses, and other organizations for the following:

Significant anniversaries or awards

Charity fundraising galas or events

Cultural celebrations
-
Sporting events
-
Conventions or trade shows
-
Community festivals
Messages are often printed in event programs or officially displayed at public functions.
Messages from the Mayor and letters of greeting do not constitute a personal or civic endorsement and are issued at the discretion of the City of Brampton.
Messages will not be provided for:

Matters of political controversy, ideological or religious beliefs or individual conviction

Events or organizations with no direct relationship to the City of Brampton
-
Campaigns or events contrary to City policies or by-laws
-
Campaigns intended for profit-making purposes
Individuals and organizations wishing to obtain a message from the Mayor or letter of greeting must first submit a formal request in writing to the Office of the Mayor through the online form below. All requests will be reviewed by a member of the Mayor’s staff, who will contact you if further information is required. Please allow five business days for a response.
Please also note that requests should be submitted a minimum of four weeks in advance of the print deadline. Requests with incomplete or missing information will not be considered.
