​BRAMPTON, ON – Due to water damage at the Flower City Seniors Recreation Centre, all programs in the following areas are cancelled until Monday, January 15:
• Library
• Auditorium
• Woodworking room
• Ceramics room
• Crafts room
• Billiards room
• Café
• Salon
• Office spaces

Staff will be contacting all participants in registered programs to notify them of the cancellation. Programs in the gymnasium and dance/fitness studio are unaffected and will continue as scheduled.

The damage was caused by a flood discovered on January 2, 2018. Repair work is now being done throughout the facility.

The flooring in the auditorium is currently too wet to assess the extent of the damage, so that space will be assessed on Friday, January 5. It is possible that the auditorium will be closed beyond January 15. Updates will be provided as more information becomes known.
