Get out and get active in Brampton this June

​BRAMPTON, ON (May 28, 2019) – June is Recreation Month, and residents of all ages are encouraged to get outside and get active. With playgrounds, picnic areas, tennis courts, sports fields, skateboard parks and open spaces, there is a ton of fun to be had at the City of Brampton’s recreation facilities this summer.

The City is hosting a range of events to celebrate June is Recreation Month, including:

National Health and Fitness Day
June 1 | 10 am to 12 pm | Chinguacousy Park
Join us for a scavenger hunt, Zumba™ and health and wellness booths

Rock Climbing Try-its
June 10 to 16 | Ken Giles Recreation Centre
Try Brampton’s newest amenity.

Activities in the Park
June 10 to 13 | Various locations
Children are invited to play camp games and meet our camp leaders before official camp season begins on July 2.

International Yoga Day
June 21 | 7 to 9 pm | Mount Pleasant Community Centre
Bring a non-slip yoga mat, put on your yoga gear and do yoga outdoors for an evening.

Brampton is home to more than 25 community centres, offering 11 swimming pools, 17 ice rinks, fitness facilities, indoor sports fields, outdoor splash pads and a variety of programs for all ages and abilities.
