Brampton musicians to take the stage at one of Canada’s top music festivals

BRAMPTON, ON (May 24, 2019) – Put on your concert gear and get ready for an epic night of live music, featuring a roster of Brampton’s best emerging talent!

This is Brampton will return to the 2019 North by Northeast (NXNE) festival on Friday, June 7, at 9 pm. This year’s showcase will take place at one of Toronto’s premier live music venues, the Hideout, located at 423 College Street in Toronto.

This is Brampton @NXNE is a curated showcase of local talent, selected by a panel of Brampton artists and industry experts. Everyone is invited to experience our city’s up-and-coming performers live on stage at one of Canada’s top music festivals.

This year’s This is Brampton showcase features:

ZeneSoul
An upcoming independent R&B artist and songwriter, ZeneSoul launched her music career with the release of her first single “Pricey” in August of 2018. In March of 2019, ZeneSoul released her first EP, “WORTH.”

Kaë Music
Formerly part of an iconic Toronto reggae band, The Sensation Band, Kaë Music released two cover singles in December 2015. She wrote and released her first original single in December 2016, called “The Struggle is Real”, and she is currently working on her EP.

Reeko Rieffe
Hailing from Brampton by way of Haiti, Reeko Rieffe fuses Creole and multicultural sounds. This emerging artist is making a name for himself online, with over 200,000 streams platform-wide and 30,000 total views on YouTube.

Noyz, Tremayne and Scotty IV
Noyz is a local MC, spoken word artist and producer. In addition to writing, recording and performing music, he is also a community mental health activist who engages with youth through the healing and transformational powers of song writing.

Tremayne is a hip-hop artist known for wearing his heart on his sleeve while combining the poetic, introspection of classic Chicago hip hop, and the contemporary trap soundwaves of modern Toronto.

Scotty IV represents the other side of the hip-hop scene in the GTA. Tremayne and Scotty IV form part of Toronto’s Stay Out Late collective.

This will be the second year that the City participates in NXNE as part of the NXNE Club Land Series, programmed by top Canadian musicians, industry leaders and associations. Taking place at some of Toronto’s premier venues, this year’s festival will feature more than 40 shows.

Tickets are available at NXNE.com, and at the door. A festival wristband costs $29 and provides access to all Club Land shows. NXNE is an annual music and gaming festival, now in its 25th year, held at locations across downtown Toronto.
