​​​BRAMPTON, ON – For its 17th consecutive year, the City of Brampton has received the Canadian Award for Excellence in Financial Reporting in recognition of the City’s 2017 Annual Financial Report.
 
This award is an initiative of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada.
 
To qualify for the award, the City had to:
• Exceed the minimum requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as set by the Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) of the Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) of Canada. 
• Prepare comprehensive and high-quality annual financial reporting, rooted in the spirit of transparency and full disclosure.
