BRAMPTON, ON - The City of Brampton will host a variety of free, fun activities to celebrate Recreation and Parks Month, Bike Month, and Seniors Month – all taking place in June. Activities include:
Bike to Work Day –
Monday, May 29Kick off Bike Month with a celebration in Garden Square from 7:30 – 9 am. Cyclists will enjoy a free breakfast in downtown Brampton. Register at
www.bikemonth.ca/biketoworkday for your chance to win one of three MEC Midtown bicycles and $300 Via Rail voucher prize packs.
National Health and Fitness Day – Saturday, June 3Get your body moving at Chinguacousy Park for outdoor Boot Camp from 9:30 – 10:15 am, followed by Zumba® from 10:30 – 11:15 am. A supervised Kids Zone will be available for children ages 4+. All activities are FREE.
Springfest – Friday, June 9Celebrate Seniors’ Month with a free trade show featuring helpful information and giveaways at the Flower City Seniors Recreation Centre auditorium from 10 am – 12 pm.
Bike Fest – Saturday, June 10Between 11 am and 4 pm, ride your bike to CeleBrampton and win a prize! Bike Fest will be located on Wellington Street West.
International Yoga Day - Wednesday, June 21Experience outdoor yoga at Mount Pleasant Community Centre from 7 – 9 pm. Admission is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item. Bring your own non-slip yoga mat.
Bike the Creek – Saturday, June 24Brampton’s signature ride along the Etobicoke Creek Trail. Meet at Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre. Registration begins at 8 am. Coffee, snacks and lunch provided. See
