Budget 2016 Tele Town Halls

BRAMPTON, ON:  Planning is underway for Budget 2016 and the City of Brampton is launching its community engagement process. It all starts with Tele Town Halls where Brampton residents have an opportunity to connect with their local councillors and Mayor Linda Jeffrey over the phone and provide their feedback and input towards Budget 2016.

Earlier this year, during the Budget 2015 process, more than 15,000 residents across the city participated in Tele Town Halls. Residents across the city with landlines will automatically be called. Those with cell phones only will have to register at www.brampton.ca/budget should they wish to participate in the process. The Tele Town Halls will take place between 7 and 8 pm on the following dates.

September 21 - Wards 9 and 10 – Regional Councillor Sprovieri and City Councillor Dhillon
September 24 - Wards 1 and 5 – Regional Councillor Moore and Regional Councillor Gibson
September 28 - Wards 7 and 8 – Regional Councillor Miles and City Councillor Fortini
September 29 - Wards 2 and 6 – Regional Councillor Palleschi and City Councillor Whillans
October 8 - Wards 3 and 4 – Regional Councillor Medeiros and City Councillor Bowman

In the coming months, the City will host several public meetings to discuss Budget 2016 and residents will have numerous opportunities to provide their feedback throughout the process. An online Budget Allocator will be available soon and residents can provide input on their priorities in terms of services and programs provided by the City.
