Saturday, October 1 is Community Parks Day – and in a city with more than 850 parks and 217 kilometres of recreational trails, there’s a lot to celebrate!
Residents are invited to join the free festivities at Allan Kerbel Park (60 Brickyard Way) from 11 am to 2 pm, rain or shine. The event has something for the whole family – free BBQ, kids’ games, information booths, tree planting and more. Meet the staff that looks after City parks, learn more about what they do, and get answers to all your questions on trees, gardening and lawn care.
Riding your bike? The Bike4Brampton Campaign Team will meet at Duggan Park at 10:30 am. Join them there and bike to the event together! Once you get to Allan Kerbel Park, there will be some special features for cyclists, including a free bike valet, bike tune-ups and a demonstration of basic bicycle care.
