As a Council representative on several key boards, such as the Toronto Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) Board, the Brampton Public Library Board, and the Police Services Board, I have had the privilege to advance the views and positions of our local government and our community. I also serve on the Arterial Roads Review Ad Hoc Steering Committee and the Greenlands Securement Sub Committee.
Community involvement in the local government process is an important priority that I reinforce regularly with my constituents. This level of engagement led to the development of the Brampton Soccer Centre, an example of the power of community participation.

Act-Heal Seniors Program at Brampton Soccer Centre
A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to John Sprovieri, Regional Councillor by Peel-based not-for-profit agency Community Environment Alliance (CEA) on May 18, 2010 at the Brampton Soccer Centre (BSC).
