Bob and his family made Brampton their home during Canada’s Centennial Year; 1967, he was born in New York City. Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Toronto and holds a degree in law from Osgoode Hall.
Bob has served the Brampton community at both the local and provincial levels. Beginning as a city councillor in 1969 he contributed his skills and expertise on matters of local importance until 1985. From 1985 to 1995, Bob sat as a provincial legislator during which time he served as Chair of the Justice; Health; Legislative Assembly and Public Accounts Committees.
Re-elected to Council as the representative for Ward 3 in November 1997, Bob has been appointed to four of the City’s six standing committees including Administration & Finance; By-Law’s; Community Services and Planning & Building. In addition, he serves the City as a member of several important Council Sub-committees including the Brampton Race Relations Action Committee; Carabram and the Noise Management and Brampton Sports and Entertainment Centre Committees.
Bob and his wife Lyn have four children; Kevin, Peter, Timothy and Brian.
