Approved Amended Development Charges Effective: August 1, 2014
The City of Brampton Development Charges Background Study, By-laws and amended Development Charges Rates (see below) were approved by Council on June 28, 2014, and are in now in effect - August 1, 2014. The rates are subject to indexing and are adjusted on February 1st and August 1st of each year using the Statistics Canada Quarterly, Non-Residential Building Construction Price Index, as prescribed by the Development Charges Act. PLEASE SEE THE "DC RATES" SECTION BELOW FOR THE CURRENT RATES.
The Peel Board of Education and Dufferin Peel Roman Catholic Board have also reviewed their Education Development Charges (EDC’s) and have increased their rates, effective July 1, 2014. The table below reflects their revised rates. For more information, please visit their web site.
Payment of Development Charges:
Development Charges are payable to the City of Brampton in accordance with the City’s Development Charges By-laws and are payable prior to the release of a plan of subdivision for registration and/or, prior to release of building permits. Applicants should contact the City of Brampton’s Financial Planning and Budgets Branch in the Corporate Services Department for more information.

Payment of development charges can be made by cash, bank draft or by certified cheque. PERSONAL CHEQUES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

or fax (see above) at least four hours prior to arriving at our service counter, to avoid processing delays.
