Networking and learning for business

Videos to help business grow!

The Brampton Entrepreneur Centre has launched a new video podcast series featuring experts and business owners offering advice on key business challenges.

Each month will feature different topics, and the line-up includes marketing, social media, tax tips and more.  Entrepreneurs in the technology and innovation, health and wellness, food and beverage and culture industries will share lessons learned from their journeys.

Farmers Market additions

A new addition to the Brampton Farmers’ Market this summer could be you! The Brampton Entrepreneur Centre is sponsoring the Entrepreneur Showcase at the Market. Each week, two of our clients will get the opportunity to present their product or service to the crowds that flock to one of Brampton’s premier attractions. There’s some conditions:

  • Businesses must be registered (sole proprietorship, general partnership, or incorporation)
  • Businesses must obtain all appropriate regulations, permits, and licenses
  • The entrepreneur must be eighteen years of age or older
  • If selected, the entrepreneur must be able to participate on the date provided, and be able to sell in an outdoor space
  • If selected, the Entrepreneur will attend a Farmers’ Market training session (date TBD)
  • Products and/or services offered must be family friendly

Applicants will need to schedule an appointment to showcase your merchandise. Your application will be juried for quality, uniqueness and saleability of your product or service and your booth presentation.

Become a Brampton Mastermind Today

Once a month, the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre partners with four local entrepreneurs to host an opportunity to network, mingle and grow your business. This Brampton Mastermind group started in February and has seen a dramatic increase in attendance over a short period of time, growing from 28 participants to 48 in March.

You’ll have an opportunity to listen to an expert speaker, discuss business challenges through peer to peer mentorship and network with all the other entrepreneurs in attendance.

The next event is on April 18 at 6 pm at the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre offices, and will feature Gerry Hogenhout, a local accountant and investment specialist speaking on cash flow management.
