Celebrate Brampton in a new way in 2019
Celebrate your city at a series of cultural and community celebrations this year!
Instead of a single CeleBrampton event in June, Brampton is hosting 12 new events this year! Council has approved a series of community recognition events throughout the year to honour Brampton’s diversity. These events are a great opportunity for residents to learn about other cultures and get to know the many communities that make up our city.
Several community recognition events will take place in June:
- Italian Heritage Month on June 9
- Philippine Heritage Month on June 13
- Portuguese History & Heritage Month on June 15
- National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21
Come out to the opening day of the Brampton Farmers’ Market on June 15 for local entertainment, community information and summer activities, as well as local produce and hand-made goods.
The City of Brampton encourages local participation in festival programming all year long through calls for performances, food vendors and community artists to apply to participate. Visit www.brampton.ca/eventcalls for more information.
We also hope to see you at Celebrate Canada Day, our biggest event of the year, on July 1 at Chinguacousy Park. Watch our events calendar for details on all the many opportunities to celebrate our city.
