Kick off summer in the City!
 
Kick off summer in the City on Saturday, June 9, from 11 am to 9 pm in Downtown Brampton is CeleBrampton, a two-time Top 100 Festival and Event in Ontario award winner. This annual one-day community celebration showcases Brampton’s open, friendly, diverse community and provides an opportunity for residents to learn about City initiatives and services. It also highlights the city’s culture, heritage, arts, dance and food with family fun and a variety of local entertainment.
 

Garden Square

11 am - 9 pm
 
Garden Square will come alive with community activities and entertainment. The Main Stage will feature all local entertainment with interactive dance classes and live music performances. Also included will be Paint by Number: Community Art Project on the large Muskoka chair, an interactive video booth, the popular MyBrampton sign and more!

Main Street North

11 am - 9 pm
 
A celebration of global food flavours will line the street with over 15 vendors selling some of Brampton’s favourite dishes. In addition to the food vendors the street will have downtown businesses participating with extended patios and selling some of their popular local products. 
 
CARABRAM will be on stage to promote Brampton’s Multicultural Festival. This exciting showcase includes traditional dance, music and entertainment.

Main Street South

11 am - 4 pm

Learn more about all of the great services the City has to offer by visiting their booths on Main Street South. Meet the Fleet returns with City Department’s Public Works and Transit setting up several of their service vehicles on the street for kids to jump up and take a picture on. 
 
Also returning this year is Recreation’s Bike Fest including Bike Rodeo, Wacky Trikes, bicycle information, prizes and fun for the whole family!

Queen Street East

11 am – 4 pm
 
Join the community picnic on Queen Street and eat together with friends and family. Also check out the big Parks vehicles such as the crane and bucket truck for another opportunity for the kids to take a photo.

Queen Street West

11 am – 4 pm

Sports activities, Meet the Fleet vehicles, and local businesses come together on Queen Street West. The Brampton Beast, Brampton Minor Lacrosse, Brampton Minor Basketball, Raptors 905 and a MLS Cup Trophy Tour highlight the sports activities. A vintage and new fire truck alongside a vintage police car will be onsite for photo opportunities with local shops offering their best food and products.
 

Ken Whillans Square

11 am – 4 pm
 
Displays and activities to excite and explain the City’s six ‘game changers’ as we show how we are future ready. Visit the Elections “Make Your Mark” campaign to learn more about opportunities to get involved.
 

Road Closures/Getting to the event

The following roads will be closed on Saturday, June 9:

10:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Queen Street from Chapel Street/Theatre Lane to George Street
  • Main Street South from Queen Street to Wellington Street
10:00 am - 10:00 pm
  • Main Street North from Queen Street to Nelson Street/Theatre Lane
